this charity makes shore it screens all people who are to receive these gifts.
Our city has been collecting gifts from shoppers for years, it’s nothing new. You wrap it and say for boy or girl.
I buy toys and games in the January sale every year and put them into Morrisons Childrens' Toys Appeal boxes between October-December each year.
This sort of thing has been going on for about 15 years, maybe more, where I live. The school I used to work in would collect gifts from people and then the charity would come collect them.
I have donated to it before and I think it is a brilliant scheme.
My ex mother in law (now deceased and going back over 40 years) used to be involved in collecting clothing for Oxfam. Sacks full of stuff would be dropped at her house to sort(?) some of it hardly worn and even still in original wrapping, unworn.
Guess where the good stuff ended up?
I want to trust people but have had fingers burned so many times it has become very hard to do so.
